Tottenham Hotspur have sacked manager Thomas Frank following a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United last Tuesday.
Frank, who had been in charge for just under eight months, had expressed confidence in his position, but the club decided to move on.
Spurs currently sit 16th in the Premier League, only five points above the relegation zone. Their form has been poor, with eight consecutive Premier League matches without a win, equaling their longest winless streak since 2008.
The decision to let Frank go follows Tottenham’s exit from both domestic cup competitions. Injuries have also plagued the team, with key players like Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies, and Richarlison all sidelined.
Looking ahead, Spurs will face a tough challenge against Arsenal in the upcoming North London derby, missing captain Cristian Romero due to suspension.
