Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) personnel rescued two individuals trapped in a trailer collision on the Three Lane highway in Asante Akim Central early July 5, 2025.
The crash involved a Nigeria-bound Man Diesel trailer (JBD 704ZY) and another trailer (GS 7884-18), according to Ashanti Regional GNFS communications.
Rescue operations led by Leading Fireman Siale employed door removal, pedal extraction, and dashboard roll techniques to free the victims. Both casualties received immediate transport to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Their current conditions remain undisclosed as of reporting time.
Preliminary assessments indicate severe frontal damage to trailer GS 7884-18 and partial rear damage to trailer JBD 704ZY. The vehicles remained at the scene for forensic examination following victim extraction.
Authorities have initiated formal investigations to determine the collision’s cause. GNFS confirmed all response protocols were followed during the emergency intervention.
