
Group A matches of the 2026 University of Ghana Corporate Football League (UGCFL), played on Friday, 27th February 2026 at the University of Ghana Stadium, were characterized by closely fought battles and solid defensive performances.Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) delivered a calm and confident performance to secure a 21 victory over Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). GIMPA struck early, opening the goal scoring in the second minute through Ayaba Mohammed. GNPC responded strongly, with Charles Asante and Evans Frimpong each finding the net to complete an impressive comeback win.In one of the most thrilling matches of the group, Ghana Football Association (GFA) edged past University of Ghana (UG) 32 in a fast-paced contest. UG started brightly, with goals from Victor Alhassan and Abel Manomey. However, GFA fought back through Philip Aseweh and Joseph Tetteh Zutah, before Kwaku Manu sealed the victory with a well-taken penalty.Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and GOIL shared the spoils in a balanced 11 draw. GCAAs number 3, Ebenezer Kelly, opened the scoring, but GOIL responded through Kwabena Dankwah. Both sides enjoyed spells of dominance, yet neither could find a decisive second goal in the tightly contested encounter.Bui Power Authority and Stanbic Bank Ghana battled hard but settled for a goalless draw. Both teams displayed strong defensive discipline, limiting clear-cut chances in a cagey affair where the goalkeepers were rarely tested.Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club (GAFOSC) and Lancaster Accra FC also played to a 11 draw after an evenly matched showdown. Lancasters Michael Assuman struck in the 27th minute, but just a minute later, GAFOSC responded with a goal from Michael Amoh.
