Swedish club Umea FC has announced the signing of young Ghanaian forward Philip Appiah Jnr.The 21-year-old signed a three-year deal to join the second tier side after a successful trial.Appiah Jnr netted three times in three trial games to convince the technical handlers of the Swedish Ettan side.”Philip has impressed us during his time here. He is a big and strong striker who, despite his size, possesses great technique. He is a good wrong-footer but is also quick in deep. Philip has also delivered in front of goal during his trial. It will be very interesting to see him in the Ume FC shirt!” said Adam Chennoufi, one of the veterans of the club.Meanwhile, Appiah Jnr shared his excitement after sealing the deal and believes he can contributes immensely to the success of the club.”I am really happy to have signed a three-year contract with Ume FC! It has been a fantastic experience to train with the team in recent weeks, and I am impressed with both the squad and the club,” he said.”The squad is young and ambitious, and I think we have a good foundation to achieve great things.
