Upper East Regional Minister pledges support for 2025 Heritage Caravan

The Upper East Regional Minister, Donatus Atanga Akamugri, has indicated the region’s readiness to welcome the Channel One TV and Citi FM Heritage Caravan, which is set to visit the region in March as part of the 2025 Heritage Caravan Tour.

Speaking during a courtesy call by a delegation from the Ghana Tourism Authority and Offshore Events, the minister expressed enthusiasm about the Heritage Caravan initiative and expressed the regions readiness to support such innovative initiative.

The delegation formally invited him to be part of an exhibition and mini-durbar scheduled for March 4 at Ganass Hotel, where the region will officially welcome the Heritage Caravan.

Hon. Akamugri emphasized his office’s commitment to collaborating with key stakeholders to explore innovative ways to develop and promote tourism in the Upper East Region. He highlighted the region’s rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and unique attractions, underscoring the need to position it as a top-tier tourist destination.

He further assured the visiting team of his administration’s full support in ensuring the success of the Caravan’s activities in the region, recognizing its potential to boost local tourism, create economic opportunities, and showcase the Upper East Region to both local and international visitors.
