Prince Kwabena AduViktoria Plzen striker Prince Kwabena Adu made a strong impression in his first start for the Black Stars, despite Ghanas 1-0 defeat to South Korea on Tuesday at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.Starting alongside Christopher Bonsu Baah, Adu displayed composure and confidence in attack. He cleverly sat the goalkeeper down with a fake shot and finished calmly, only for the goal to be ruled out for a marginal offside.

Gary Al-Smith (@garyalsmith) November 18, 2025His movement, sharp decision-making, and link-up play added a new dimension to Ghanas attack and helped create several opportunities, including a strike from Brandon Thomas-Asante that hit the post. This match followed Adus debut against Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup, a 2-0 defeat, and was part of Ghanas Asian tour as Otto Addo prepares his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With several key players absent, including Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Salisu, Antoine Semenyo, and captain Jordan Ayew, Adus performance was a standout in a side that looked more cohesive and competitive than in the previous game. While the result was disappointing, Adus first start signals promising attacking options for the Black Stars ahead of the World Cup. Ghana will learn their group-stage opponents on December 5.
