National Democratic Congress in the Sefwi Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai constituency organized a mammoth health work. Mr. Malik Basintale, one of the party’s two deputy national communications officers, graced the event, accompanied by other stalwarts in the Western North region.

Malik praised the Western North region, particularly Sefwi Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency for being the home of Ghana’s natural mineral resources like Gold, Bauxite, Cocoa, Timber, and many others.

However, he lamented the wanton mismanagement of Ghana’s economy by the NPP government, resulting in Bibiani and its surrounding communities not having enough economic and physical infrastructural development.

He wondered why Bibiani whose economy, according to the data available at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, is essentially agricultural, dominated by crop cultivation, employs 76% of the population with 55.3% female participation, boasts 62% (54240ha) of the total arable land area, but cultivates only 45.5% (39829ha), due to due Nana Addo-Bamuwia government’s failure and the carelessness of Hon Alfred Obeng Boateng, member of parliament for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituency, to invest in Agriculture, cry of hunger.

Malik assured the constituents of the next NDC government’s resolve, if elected winner in the December 2024 general elections, to bolster the socio-economic activities, and expand physical infrastructure to bring comfort to all Ghanaians irrespective of their location, tribe, and religion.

The firebrand deputy national communications officer alleged that Hon Alfred Obeng Boateng engaged in some illegalities involving Movenpina-Zup Oil contaminated fuel saga during his term of office as the managing director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation. A committee, set up to investigate the scandal in 2019, described the incident a criminal and recommended the prosecution of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituency incumbent member of parliament.

It would be recalled that, in 2017, BOST was condemned for a decision to sell five million litres of contaminated fuel to Movenpina, a company without National Petroleum Authority (NPA) license at the time of securing the contract.

The Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (GCBOD), led by it CEO at the time, Senyo Hosi, uncovered series of irregularities in the aforementioned BOST-Movenpina deal.

Mr. Malik Basintale urged the electorate to vote massively against Hon. Alfred Obeng Boateng and usher in Bright Asamoah Brefo as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai for economic growth and total transformation.

He stated that the NDC has good policies for the people, especially the youth in Ghana.

According to him, whoever listened to the National Democratic Congress Manifesto can testify that the NDC has policies for Ghanaians when they come to power.
