Tajudeen, the dynamic host of VoxPop Central on ChannelOne TV, has added an important milestone to his rising media career after graduating from the University of Media, Arts and Communications–Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-IJ) with a PR degree.
He graduated on Friday November 28, marking the moment with a heartfelt and deeply reflective speech that highlighted his journey of perseverance, gratitude, and purpose.
“Let me first of all, thank the Almighty God for his unending mercies and grace that has brought me thus far. This indeed is a journey of grit and tenacity,” he said.
He further expressed appreciation to his boss, Samuel Attah-Mensah, Managing Director of Citi FM and Channel One TV, for the opportunity and guidance:
“I couldn’t have come this far without the support of the Citi FM and ChannelOne TV family. I’m eternally grateful for the love and support shown me.”
Tajudeen also paid glowing tribute to his mother, Fati Mahama, and his family whose prayers and unwavering encouragement sustained him through the journey.
Ending his speech, he declared, “Our God is still Tetragrammaton. I’m excited for the journey ahead. #StillWeRise #GodIsTheReason.”
Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Attributo No. 2 in Damongo, the capital of the Savannah Region, Tajudeen’s story is one of humble beginnings and consistent leadership.
He began his basic education at NewLife Preparatory School in Damongo, where he served as Assistant School Prefect and represented the school in various academic and extracurricular competitions.
He continued to Hwidiem Senior High School in the Ahafo Region before advancing to Takoradi Technical University (TTU) to pursue an HND in Tourism Management.
Leadership and Student Politics
His time at TTU marked a defining phase—one that established him as a recognisable and influential student leader.
Tajudeen contested and won the position of President of the Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS), championing key issues that affected students nationwide. His impactful leadership earned him several honours, including:
• Political Icon of the Year – TTU SRC Excellence Awards (2018)
• Most Active Central Committee Member – GNUTS Excellence Awards (2019)
• Outstanding Alumni of the Year – Tech Eminence Awards (2024)
In addition, he served in multiple roles at TTU:
• SRC Editor (2016)
• Publicity Head, AG Campus Ministry
• President, Northern Students Association
These roles cemented his reputation as a committed advocate for students and youth development.
Career Before and Within the Media
Before joining the media space, Tajudeen worked as a Tour Guide at Mole National Park, West Africa’s largest wildlife reserve located in Damongo. His time at the park enhanced his communication skills, cultural knowledge, and ability to connect with diverse people—skills he would later bring into journalism and broadcasting.
He eventually joined Channel One TV and Citi FM, where he has grown into a vibrant voice and energetic on-screen personality.
He currently serves as:
• Host of VoxPop Central on ChannelOne TV (airs Thursdays at 7pm)
• Producer of the UpsideDown Show
• Member of the Channel One TV and Citi FM Events Team
His engaging style and relatable storytelling have made him a familiar face to many viewers.

Tajudeen’s long-term ambition is to become a politician, driven by a passion to impact society positively, advocate for development, and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s policy landscape.
