The Wa High Court has sentenced notorious serial unaliver Shariff Abdulai, popularly known as ‘Cristos’, to life imprisonment in hard labour for unaliving 23 people across parts of the country.
The conviction was handed down on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, by His Lordship Justice Osei-Wusu Antwi after the accused pleaded guilty to the charges.
According to a press statement signed by the Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Francis Yiribaare, the convict admitted to unaliving sixteen people in Wa, five in Bole, and one each in Banda Nkwanta and Bamboi.

Shariff Abdulai was arrested on October 6, 2025, following sustained intelligence-led operations by the Police.
After months of investigations, he was committed by the District Magistrate Court and subsequently arraigned before the High Court on March 4, 2026.
In court, the accused, who was represented by counsel, pleaded guilty to the charge. Based on his own plea, Justice Osei-Wusu Antwi sentenced him to life imprisonment in hard labour.
The convict is to serve his sentence at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.
