
Asante Kotoko have pledged to regroup and come back stronger following Sundays narrow 1-0 loss to rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash.
The Porcupine Warriors had been eager to recover from consecutive setbacksa league defeat to Heart of Lions and an FA Cup exit to Aduana FChoping to deliver a strong performance in front of their home supporters at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Their plans were undone when Baba Adamus first-half header gave the Phobians the lead. Hearts of Oak finished the match with 10 men after Emmanuel Amankwah was sent off for a second yellow card, but Kotoko could not find an equalizer.
In a post-match statement on social media, the club acknowledged the disappointment but promised fans a swift response.
“We are hurt, but we will definitely bounce back stronger. Thank you all for your massive support,” the club said.

Kotoko will look to return to winning ways against Young Apostles in Matchday 23 this weekend at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
