After constantly hounding and harassing him, cantankerous entertainment critic Sally Mann, has lauded Shatta Wale for his growth and recent achievements.
This comes as a shock to many, given her previous admission during an interview last year that she was part of a group of industry players allegedly plotting to bring the dancehall artist down.
Sally Mann, known for her unfiltered opinions on industry matters, expressed her admiration for the “Dancehall King” hitmaker during a recent interview. She highlighted his composure and professional progress, citing two notable milestones: his newfound calmness after welcoming a baby with is girlfriend Maali, and his collaboration with Jamaican dancehall legend Vybz Kartel.
According to Sally, the birth of Shatta Wale’s child seems to have positively influenced his outlook and behaviour. “I’ve noticed a calmer, more focused Shatta Wale recently. Perhaps fatherhood has brought out a different side of him, and it’s commendable to see him channel that energy into his craft,” she remarked.
Her comments about his success in Jamaica also came with high praise. Mann singled out his collaboration with Vybz Kartel as a significant feat, noting that it bolstered Shatta Wale’s international reputation in the dancehall genre. “Teaming up with Vybz Kartel is no small achievement. It proves Shatta Wale’s dedication to pushing the boundaries. I want to applaud his team for making this dream come through after two decades.
