Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, Head of Public Relations, Burniton Music Group (BMG), has revealed that Stonebwoy’s team has received several apologies from persons in the industry on behalf of DJ Lord.
DJ Lord in a series of tweet on X, April 1, 2025 claimed that after playing Shatta Wale’s song back-to-back at last year’s Guinness Accravaganza concert, he was approached by an official of the event who said Stonebwoy’s team had expressed unhappiness with the playing of Wale’s song, requesting that he stops playing Wale’s songs.
At the time, Stonebwoy was also gearing up for his performance at the same event. Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz, has since dismissed the allegations, describing it as a “false accusation.”
Vida Boateng explained that the team is still considering whether to accept the apologies or not.
She said Stonebwoy’s team is waiting for DJ Lord to honorably apologise for the accusations or face legal action.
“We’ve received a lot of apologies on behalf of DJ Lord, but the team is considering these apologies. We are waiting to see if he will be magnanimous enough to apologise for his actions.
“If he does not apologise and wants us to take the legal route, he will hear from us. We’re expecting him to take some action; if not, he will hear from us,” Vida Boateng stated.
In a Facebook post on April 2, Vida wrote: “Dj Lord OTB, you have up until 12 (midday April 2, 2025) to produce the name of the so-called ‘top board official’ who gave you that instruction. Be ready to prove that it came from Stonebwoy camp, or else we will sue you till you sell your last pendrive to repair the damage. This nonsense name calling must stop!”
