Afrobeats icon Davido has revealed that his wife, Chioma Rowland, plays a powerful role in his life — not just emotionally, but in the success of his career as well.
In a candid interview on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday April 9, the award-winning artist opened up about the strength of their bond, admitting that Chioma’s calm demeanor and quiet strength often bring him back to reality.
“She’ll say, ‘Oh, you want to argue with me now? Isn’t your album about to drop? Go ahead then.’ She has this kind of spiritual influence over me,” he said with a laugh.
Davido didn’t shy away from sharing their journey, recounting how they met during their teenage years and spent over a decade growing together before tying the knot.
“We met in university — I was 18, she was 17. We graduated side by side,” he said.
These days, harmony fills their home, especially with their children, who have nothing but love for Chioma.
