The death of Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu’s wife, Hajia Ramatu Sharubutu, in the early hours of March 27, 2024, has been announced by the National Chief Imam’s family.
According to Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, the Chief Imam’s spokesperson, a Janazah prayer and burial would take place at the Chief Imam’s home at 2:00 pm in accordance with Islamic customs.
Please arrive at 1 pm if you would like to join in the prayer and show the mourning family your support during this difficult time.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia expressed his condolences to the Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community in Ghana via a Facebook post.

I have learnt with sadness, the passing of our dear grandmother and beloved wife of the National Chief Imam, Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu.
Hajia Samira Bawumia and I extend our condolences to His Eminence, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and the entire family.
May the Almighty Allah welcome our dear grandmother and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.” He wrote on Facebook.
