Wizkid has weighed in on the reported altercation between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez at Obi’s House in Lagos.
Eyewitnesses say the incident, which occurred in the early hours of 7 April, began as a verbal argument before escalating into a physical confrontation involving members of Burna Boy’s entourage. Footage of the clash has circulated widely on social media.
DJ Tunez, Wizkid’s long-time DJ, addressed the incident on X with the post: “OGBAFIA NUMBER 1 DON WAKE OOO!”—seen by fans as a signal that he remained unshaken despite the confrontation. A video of Burna Boy with a towel, circulating online shortly after the altercation, appeared to capture his reaction to the events.

Wizkid later criticised Burna Boy’s actions on social media, posting: “Pussy nigga. Jump a DJ with 10 man. Carry Diddy towel, dey dance. I never see fool like this Diddy babe in my life.” The post quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention and sparking further discussion around the incident. Meanwhile, the Nigerian DJ Association has announced a temporary ban on Burna Boy’s music across its network pending a full investigation into the incident.
