A Kenyan woman has taken to social media to share her ordeal after a dinner invitation allegedly ended in embarrassment and financial distress.

According to the woman, she was invited by a young man identified as Victor to dine at the Nova Hotel.

Upon arrival, she claimed Victor was already seated with another woman. When she questioned the situation, he reportedly told her he was in a business meeting and encouraged her to go ahead and order whatever she wanted.

The woman said she proceeded to order her preferred meals and drinks, which eventually amounted to KSh 77,000 (approximately GHS 6,478).

When the bill arrived, she instructed the waitress to present it to Victor, as he had extended the invitation.

However, according to her account, Victor excused himself, claiming he was going to the washroom—and never returned.

His disappearance reportedly left her stranded with the bill.

The incident has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While some sympathised with the woman, others questioned the circumstances and advised caution in similar situations.

The woman has since used her experience to caution others, urging especially women to be careful when accepting invitations from individuals they may not fully trust.
