Sixteen teams from across the country converged for the 2026 Phygital Football Tournament, delivering a thrilling competition that blended gaming precision with on-field performance.
Phygital Football combines digital football on the console with traditional physical matches on the pitch, testing players’ tactical intelligence, technical ability and athletic endurance. The format continues to gain popularity for its fusion of technology and sport.
After a series of competitive fixtures, Wonder FC and Elect FC advanced to the grand finale. Wonder FC produced a dominant display to secure the title, winning 3–1 in the digital stage before sealing a 1–0 victory in the physical contest for a 4–1 aggregate triumph.
Their commanding performance crowned them champions of the national tournament and earned them the opportunity to represent Ghana internationally.
President of the Ghana Esports Federation, Igor Boumekpo, congratulated the winners and urged them to intensify preparations ahead of global competition in Astana in 2026.
He also commended all participating teams, partners and stakeholders for contributing to the successful staging of the innovative tournament.
