A man identified online as Yaytseslav is trending on the local digital space after a series of controversial videos detailing his interactions with Ghanaian women surfaced on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

The man, who introduces himself as a Russian national, is known to frequent the Accra Mall area where he approaches shoppers and passersby, strikes up conversations, and records the encounters.

The videos are later shared online, sparking growing concern about privacy and consent.

In several of the clips circulating online, Yaytseslav is seen persuading some of the women to accompany him to his hotel room.

Social media users have expressed alarm at what appears to be a pattern in which he builds rapport quickly before inviting the women to his residence or hotel.

One particular video that has drawn widespread condemnation involves a female hotel receptionist.

According to footage shared online, Yaytseslav, who had lodged at a hotel in Accra convinced the receptionist to enter his room after she delivered a towel to him.

In the video, he told the receptionist he wanted to show her the room. Moments after she entered, he is seen kissing and touching her inappropriately.

The footage has since sparked intense backlash, with many describing his actions as exploitative and unethical.

Following the emergence of the videos, social media has been flooded with reactions. While many users have strongly condemned the man’s conduct, others have criticised the women involved, questioning their decisions and highlighting concerns about personal safety and awareness.

The incident has reignited conversations about consent, digital privacy, and the legal implications of recording and distributing intimate encounters without clear authorisation.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from law enforcement authorities regarding the matter.
