Management of ZEN Petroleum, has honoured and celebrated some sixteen deserving retailers across the country, at the company’s Retail Excellence Awards in Accra.
The event gathered key petroleum sector players, including board members, partners, customers, staff and the regulator, to celebrate ZEN’s journey of resilience, innovation and purpose for more than a decade within the downstream petroleum sector.
Managing Director of ZEN Petroleum, William Tewiah, addressing dignitaries at the ceremony, described the company’s sixteen years of operation as a journey of curiosity, culminating the ZEN brand into a trusted force.
“In the last sixteen years, our retail business has blossomed into a vibrant and customer-focused network that continues to redefine service delivery standards across the country” Mr Tewiah indicated.
This progress, according to him, did not happen by chance, as it was built on the dedication of the company’s personnel – from the pump attendants who greet customers with a smile at dawn and serve them late into the night, to officers who ensure operational excellence, and leaders who provide direction and inspiration.
With Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector continuing to grow and evolve, playing a critical role in national development, Mr Tewiah explained that ZEN is proud to be a contributor to this progress – expanding access, improving service standards, investing in infrastructure, creating employment and paying taxes.
He said ZEN is committed to transparency, compliance, and ethical business practice, whilst assuring the regulator, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) of the company’s commitment to responsible operations in the downstream space.
Board Chair of ZEN Petroleum, Mr. Frank Adu, said the company’s quest to deepen innovation and efficiency in service delivery, would not be compromised.
He explained that the company’s excellence in retail is not defined by fuel pumps alone, but by delivered experiences, safety guaranteed, integrity upheld, and the respect shown to every customer who chose ZEN.
“ZEN will thrive to continue building world-class standards in service delivery and operational efficiency” Mr Adu noted.
CEO of the National Petroleum Authority, Godwin Kudzo Tamakloe Esq., commended ZEN Petroleum for its diligence and efficiency in the downstream sector.
He said the company’s decision to list on the Ghana Stock Exchange, makes it a sustainable business model which would outlive individuals and personalities.
“I encourage other OMCs to adopt the ZEN model in order to ensure business viability and sustainability. It is encouraging to see more local companies trading on the bourse” he said.
