The 2023 Community Shield, which serves as the traditional “curtain-raiser” for English football season will return to Wembley Stadium on its 100th anniversary. The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 6 August.
As reigning champions of both the Premier League and the FA Cup from last season, Manchester City will face off against Arsenal, who finished as runners-up in the league.
In the previous year, the Community Shield match between Manchester City and Liverpool was held at Leicester City’s stadium, as Wembley was hosting the final of the Women’s Euros the following day.
