Ghana will face-off against West African rivals Nigeria in the second round of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 qualifiers in December.
The Black Galaxies were pit against their Nigerian counterpart during Wednesday’s draw at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday October 9, 2024.
The first leg of the tie takes place between December 20 – 22, 2024, in Ghana, before the return leg comes off on December 27 -29, 2024, in Nigeria.
Ghana eliminated Nigeria to secure qualification to the last edition of the CHAN tournament in Algeria after post-match penalty shootouts after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.
The winner of the two-legged ties will secure their spot in the CHAN 2024 to be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next year.
Ghana and Nigeria have a long-standing rivalry in what is expected to be a thrilling two-legged affair.
