Remarkably, Dr. Bawumia’s visit to the Catholic Church brought members of the two leading faiths  in the country, Christians and Muslims, together under same roof.

A number of Imams and Zongo Chiefs from the constituency joined the Clergy and traditional rulers to hold the church service.

“There is peace and understanding between Muslims and Christians in Ghana and it is one of the reasons we have peace.”

“It is so beautiful to see Imams here in this Chapel. This reflects our mutual understanding and respect for each other. You will hardly see this anywhere in the world but this is happening in Ghana one”, Bawumia stated and charged the groups to “continue to leave in harmony and continue to respect one another”.
