Young Apostles boosted their survival hopes with a convincing victory over Vision FC at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Wednesday in the Ghana Premier League.The home side pulled further away from the relegation zone with an impressive display, while Vision FC remain hovering just above the drop zone following back-to-back defeats.Samuel Prempeh opened the scoring for Young Apostles in the 30th minute after capitalising on a bright start by the hosts.Just two minutes later, Richmond Opoku doubled the advantage to put Young Apostles firmly in control before halftime.Vision FC attempted to fight back after the break and managed to pull one goal back in the 66th minute to give themselves hope of a comeback.However, Samuel Amankwah sealed the victory for Young Apostles in the 78th minute with the home side continuing to threaten on the counterattack.The result gives Young Apostles an important lift in their battle to avoid relegation ahead of their next fixture against Nations FC.Vision FC, meanwhile, will look to respond to successive defeats when they host Karela United in their next league match.
