Hearts of Oak secured back-to-back Ghana Premier League victories after edging Vision FC 1-0, with substitute Kwesi Asmah scoring an 86th-minute winner at the Nii Adjei Kraku Complex in Tema on Saturday afternoon. The Phobians laboured for much of the contest but found a breakthrough late in the game when a poor clearance fell kindly to Asmah inside the box. The 23-year-old made no mistake, firing home with his left foot to seal all three points. The result follows Hearts narrow victory over Port City and continues their recovery after an inconsistent start to the campaign.Asmahs decisive contribution came in a tight encounter that offered little goalmouth action, with much of the contest played in midfield. Hearts enjoyed slightly more possession, but Vision created more attempts on goal.Benjamin Asare was called into action earlier in the second half, producing an excellent save to deny the hosts an opening goal and keep Hearts in the contest. The late strike proved decisive, leaving Vision disappointed after a competitive performance in which they struggled to turn their chances into goals. The victory moves Hearts level on points with league leaders Medeama, who face Samartex on Sunday. The Phobians are assured of finishing the weekend in second place and will now turn their attention to their next home fixture against Basake Holy Stars.Vision FC, meanwhile, must regroup ahead of their next match against Dreams FC as they look to respond to another frustrating result.
