The creative industry is set to receive a major financial boost in 2026 with the establishment of a Creative Arts Fund, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has announced.
Presenting the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy in Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Dr. Forson said the fund will support various sectors including music, fashion, food, and other creative ventures.
He noted that the fund is designed to empower creative professionals to expand their businesses, improve product quality, and enhance Ghana’s global creative reputation.
Industry stakeholders have long called for such a fund to address financing gaps that hinder growth in the creative economy.
