Spain booked their place in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a disciplined 2-0 victory over France at the AT&T Stadium on Tuesday.

La Roja produced a composed and well-organised performance, frustrating the tournament favourites before striking once in each half to secure a deserved place in the final.

Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring in the 22nd minute from spot-kick to hand Spain the advantage before Pedro Porro doubled the lead after the break to put the result beyond doubt.

France pushed for a way back into the contest but found it difficult to break down the resolute Spanish defence, with La Roja maintaining their shape and composure throughout the encounter.

The victory sends Spain into the World Cup final, where they will face the winner of the second semi-final between Argentina and England for the chance to lift the trophy.
