4 Media General journalists shortlisted for 28th GJA Media Awards on Sept 28

Four journalists working with Ghana’s leading media conglomerate, Media General have been nominated for the 28th edition of the Ghana Journalists Association Media Awards.

At a press encounter in the Accra on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the Association announced that 32 journalists and media organizations have been shortlisted to be given awards across the country.

Media General’s Castro Senyalah, Godwin Asediba, Bill Eshun, and Stanley Nii Blewu are expected to be given awards as part of journalists who distinguished themselves in their professional practice last year.

The 2024 edition of the GJA Awards is scheduled for September 28, 2024 at the Accra International Conference Center, on the theme: “75 years of excellence in journalism: the role of the media in democratic governance and elections”.

President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be the Special Guest of Honour, and Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State of Nigeria, Professor Umaru A. Pate as the keynote speaker.
