The Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual Hilda (Baci) Bassey, has revealed that she auditioned for the BBNaija reality show five times but was not selected.
Her goal was to gain recognition by entering the Big Brother house and then using her fame to promote her Cookathon experience.
The renowned Nigerian culinary expert disclosed this during an appearance on Cool FM Nigeria’s The Big Friday Show, which was hosted by Tacha, a reality star.
She also shared that she was planning her cook-a-thon while auditioning for the show.
Hilda Baci, a chef, restaurateur, and actress, is the current holder of the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking with 93 hours 11 minutes, setting a new record after surpassing Indian chef Lata Tondon’s 87 hours, 45 minutes cooking marathon in 2023
