Seventy supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who were arrested across the country for various infractions have been granted police enquiry bail.
This follows the aftermath of the December 7 polls, during which a total of 123 individuals were arrested, according to the Ghana Police Service.
Out of the 123 arrested, forty-nine suspects have been processed for court, with 16 granted bail. Another thirty-three have been remanded into police and prison custody to reappear before the courts at a later date.
Providing an update on the security situation in the wake of attacks on government agencies, Police Head of Public Affairs Directorate, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, stated that within the last 24 hours, four more suspects have been arrested and are currently in police custody. These individuals will be processed for court on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, the police have addressed rumors about the missing NDC Effutu Constituency Vice Chairman, Abraham Ato Annan.
They confirmed that the news is false and urged the public to disregard such misinformation. According to the police, Mr. Abraham Ato is in good health
