Zone Three recorded the most goals – Four hundred and ninety six (496) in the just ended Access Bank Division One League. The Zone comprises, champions Vision FC, Akatsi All Stars, Hohoe United, giants Okwahu United, Kotoku Royals, Akyem Tafo Susubiribi SC, Still Believe FC, Kings Palace FC, Attram De Visser, Na God FC, Golden Kick FC, amongst others. Vision FC beat off competition from Okwahu United, Hohoe United, ,Na God FC and Atrtram De Visser to win the title following an exciting campaign under the tutelage of former Medeama SC and Accra Hearts of Oak trainer Hamza Obeng.
Zone One came second with Four hundred and eighty five (485) goals, while Zone Two finished with Four hundred and sixty seven (467) goals.
There were Two hundred and thirty four (234) first half goals in Zone Three, Two hundred and Thirty (230) goals in Zone Two and Two hundred and Twenty one (221) goals in Zone One.
For second half goals, Zone Three topped yet again – with Two hundred and sixty two (262) goals, whiles Zone One recorded Two hundred and fifty five (255) goals with Zone Two managing a total of Two hundred and forty six (246) goals.
In all, One Thousand, one Hundred and Forty-eight (1448) goals were produced in Seven Hundred and Two (702) Division One League games across the three Zones. Young Apostles FC, Basake Holy Stars and Vision FC gained promotion to the Premier League and will compete in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
