Accra Lions collected their first win of the Premier League season after a comfortable 3-1 win over Nsoatreman FC on matchday 4 at home on Saturday September 28, 2024.
Salman Faris Tahiru opened the scoring as early as the 10th minute with a sublime finish before Ezekiel Kwame Alladoh added the second seven minutes later.
Stephen Diyou pulled a goal back for the visitors three minute into the second half but Most Valuable Player Blessing Assuman Dankwah scored in the 67th minute to restore Lions’ two goal advantage at the University of Ghana Stadium.
This is the first win for Accra Lions since the start of the season following two successive defeats and a draw a draw in their opening three matches.
Nsoatreman FC, fresh from their exit from the 2024-25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, have now suffered their first defeat of the season.
Eight matches are expected to take place across the country on Sunday September 29, 2024 to conclude matchday 4 of the Premier League this weekend.
