With great pride, 3G Media Group announces that Bill Asamaoh, an actor from Ghana, has been nominated to win an award at the 13th Annual Mega 3G Awards and Celebrity Bash, which will take place in New York.
The Ukrainian Youth Centre, located at 301 Palisade Avenue in Yonkers, New York, will host the event on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The nominations were revealed in April. In the Kumawood/Ghanaian film industry, William Asamoah-Addo is referred to as the Darlyn Bill.
In addition to being in monitoring and evaluation, he has won numerous accolades and is presently the eighth EMY AFRICA Actor of the Year 2023. He is also the chairperson of the Ghana Actors’ Guild for the Northern Region of Ghana and an entrepreneur who owns three businesses.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture designated Mr. Asamaoh as the Tourism Ambassador in 2019. In addition, he serves on the National Film Authority’s steering group.
He is from the Worakese Royal Bretuo dynasty of Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region and is a devout Christian and family man. The Akumaa Mama Zimbi Foundation, Joyful FM’s Nyansa Boakwa, Empress Gifty, ACP Kofi Sarpong, Ofori Amponsah, Prophet Kpegah Tamakloe, Lord Kenya, Aburi Gardens Restaurant, Virginia, Doris Boaduwaa, Black Queens, and many more are among the honourees who are proudly nominated for this year’s event.
Some distinguished persons who have received awards from 3G Media Group & Afrikan Digest included Lynne Carter, first African American female boxing judge and a three-time Hall of Famer, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, Abraham Attah (Hollywood Actor), Azuma Nelson, Boxing Legend, Rev. Osei Kofi, Ibrahim Sunday, Akwasi Appiah(Former Black Stars Coach), Asamoah Gyan (former Captain Ghana Black Stars), Ruth-Hassell Thompson, Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay, Captain Smart and many others. Since the inception of the awards scheme in 2009, 3G Media have invited various personalities to join their show in New York.
These honourees are from a variety of fields, such as entertainment, tourism, media, politics, public/security service, business community, and traditional rulers. Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, President of the Ghana Journalist Association, has given his endorsement to these recipients.
The Ghana Tourism Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Akwasi Agyemang, declared the show to be the Best African Diasporan Awards Scheme launched by a Ghanaian during last year’s event and served as the 2023 edition’s keynote speaker and honouree. The President/Chief Executive Officer of the 3G Media Awards is H. E. Evangelist Dr. Charles N. Ntiamoah-Mensah CDSE, also known as Mr. CNN or Dr. CNN.
He has spent nearly 25 years as a Media and Showbiz Legend. He is the Publisher/Editor of AfriKan Digest Newspaper and 3G Magazine.
A renowned and former Freelance Photojournalist/Writer of Ghanaweb fame. H. E. Ntiamoah-Mensah is also a United Nations Representative/Special Enovy for WOLMI (World of Life Ministries International, under ECOSOC). He also represents the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 as its Global Special Envoy in Strategic Partnerships.
A Humanitarian and Kidney Advocate for Transplant and has established the 3G Global Advocacy Group Foundation to save the lives of Renal Failure patients. 3G is an initials for God, Global & Giving (Triple G, 3Gs).
