Comedienne and internet sensation, Afia Schwarzenegger has responded to the GH₵10 million defamation lawsuit filed against her by Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of Goldbod and NDC Communications Officer.
The lawsuit, filed in the High Court, stems from Afia’s social media claims alleging that Gyamfi bought property in the US for his wife or her supposed sister, and was involved in inappropriate relationships with students from the University of Ghana, accusations he firmly denies.
Gyamfi describes the claims as false, malicious, and damaging to his reputation. He also clarified that his wife does not have a sister named Vida, contradicting one of the allegations.
In her response, Afia Schwarzenegger in a video on Instagram questioned Gyamfi’s credibility and pointed to what she sees as his history of dishonesty.
“Sammy Gyamfi, are you fine? I guess you are a lawyer. The law says he who comes with equity must come with clean hands,” she said.
She further accused him of previously making false claims on national television, specifically linking a company called Hubtel to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, challenging him to defend those statements.
