Ghana put up an impressive performance in the second half after a scoreless first half.
Coach Desmond Ofei’s side’s dominant second half performance almost saw Ghana go up in the game but Aziz Misibau’s shot hit the cross bar to deny Ghana a goal.
The result leaves Ghana and Congo with a point each ahead of Benin and Gambia who will face each other in the second Group A game later on Friday.
Ghana will take on Gambia in their second group game on Tuesday, March 15,2024 before the final group game on March 15,2024.
Two top-placed teams in Group A and B will advance to the semi-finals stage of the competition.
