Ghana’s men’s indoor volleyball team brought out their “A” game as they gave their Gambian opponent a formidable fight to win 3:0, leaving them no chance but to concede defeat.
Ghana started the first set in an industrious manner, as all their plays into the half of the Gambians were blocked out. With the intensity on the rise, the Ghanaian fans present at the venue poured out some loud cheers as they supported the team to victory.
The Gambia team gradually matched the intensity of the crowd at the venue by responding to Ghana’s early dominance with some good performances in the dying embers of the first set, where they gained some momentum to draw the scores to 25-18, although they still fell short.
The second set started on a quiet note for Team Ghana, but they gradually crawled back to bamboozle their opponent with some good energy and pinpoint decisions to win the set in some remarkable fashion, setting the pace for the third set.
Team Ghana, with an already established lead in the first and second sets, made no mistake in the third set as they won to secure a 3:0 victory.
