Popular Kumawood actor, Akwasi Boadi, widely known as Akrobeto, has debunked claims that he was once married to former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, who is currently serving a 15-year jail sentence.
In an exclusive interview with Ghana Weekend, Akrobeto clarified that the marriage rumours were born out of a movie role and have no basis in reality.
“Agradaa has never been my wife. It was a movie we shot, and in that film, we played a couple in a relationship. That scene was later used to promote the movie, and that is where the story comes from. But in real life, we have never been married before,” he explained.
On the subject of Nana Agradaa’s imprisonment, the veteran actor declined to make detailed comments, stressing that it was a matter before the law.
“I cannot say anything about Nana Agradaa’s jail sentence. Whatever I say will not change the situation. If she gets released, fine. If not, she is not the only person who has been jailed before. It is normal,” Akrobeto stated.
His clarification comes after persistent rumours suggesting a personal relationship between the actor and the embattled former priestess.
