Ghanaians look forward to electing a person of their choice on December 7 who can help develop the country and create job opportunities for the citizens, especially the youth.
Various presidential aspirants and their parliamentary candidates are touring their electoral areas and engaging with their constituents through house-to-house campaigns.
Mr. Michael Afrane and Kala Kumasi led some Kumawood actors and actresses and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate in the Suaman Dadieso Constituency of the Western North Region on the campaign tour.
According to Michael Afrane, a famous Kumawood actor, every forward-thinking Ghanaian who believes in sound leadership, prudent economic management, anti-corruption fight, peace, and unity will not hesitate to vote for the NDC parliamentary candidates and the flagbearer, former president John Dramani Mahama, to recapture power in the forthcoming December general elections.
Michael described John Mahama as incorruptible, courteous, and a team player—a nation-builder and a listening leader.
Michael Afrane addressed the people, saying the NDC cares about Ghanaians’ welfare and will make giant strides when elected to return to power. He urged the people to turn up in their numbers on election day and vote massively for the NDC to emerge victorious.
Kala Kumasi also added that the NDC aims to empower women by establishing the Women’s Bank, a manifesto promise that H.E. Former President John Dramani Mahama announced. She said the Women’s Bank will offer interest-free loans to women to do business to improve their living conditions.
Mr. Vasco Obour, the former constituency secretary, and some actors and actresses also touted the NDC’s ability to fulfill campaign promises, tracing the party’s good records back to former presidents Jerry John Rawlings, Professor John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama, who ruled Ghana between 1993 and 2000, 2009 and 2012, 2013 and 2016 respectively. He appealed to the electorates to vote again for the NDC party to occupy the seat of government. He also asked Ghanaians to ensure all NDC parliamentary candidates win the December elections so the party becomes the majority caucus in parliament.
