All Nations University set to host Develop and Learn STEM Conference

The All Nations University in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital is to host the 2023 Develop and Elevate STEM conference on Wednesday, December 13th 2023.

This follows the University’s track achievement for successfully designing and launching Ghana’s first satellite into space and being an avid advocate for STEM education in Ghana. It is therefore partnering with the UK-based EL- Empire Professional Institute to host this year’s conference.

This year’s Develop and Elevate STEM Conference is targeted to host over one thousand attendees with participating schools including Suhum Senior High Technical School, Koforidua Senior High Technical School, Aburi Girls Senior High School, Mamfe Methodist Girls Senior High School, Oyoko Methodist Senior High School, Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary, Oti Boateng Senior High School, and some Junior High Schools within the region.

At a media engagement at the University, the Outreach Manager for All Nations University – Space Systems Technology Laboratory, ANU-SSTL, Ernest Teye Matey, said the conference is designed to enrich the lives of young people through education and training by providing resources that support with skill development, interactive learning and industry experience. He explained how the University was selected to host the conference. 

The Co-Founder of Develop and Elevate and the Founder of EL- Empire, Dr Leslie-Ann George shed more light on the Develop and Elevate STEM conference.

The Ministers of Education, Science and Technology, and Gender, Children and Social Protection are expected to speak on how their ministries are promoting and utilizing STEM.
