Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo says Manchester City’s players are enjoying life under new head coach Enzo Maresca as the Premier League champions continue their pre-season tour of Asia.Maresca, who succeeded Pep Guardiola earlier this summer, is nearing the end of his second week in charge and has already made a positive impression on the squad with his meticulous approach to training.Speaking after City’s arrival in Hong Kong, Semenyo praised the Italian coach’s attention to detail and revealed the players are adapting well to his demands.”Very good, very detailed,” Semenyo said of Maresca’s training sessions.”He’s got an eye for detail, and he wants everything to be right, which is quite similar to Pep. That’s good for us as players, so we’ve enjoyed it so far.”City are in Hong Kong to begin their Asia Tour, where they will face Inter before travelling to South Korea for matches against a K League All Stars side and Atltico Madrid as part of their preparations for the new campaign. The Ghana international also spoke about the warm reception the team received upon arriving in Hong Kong, saying it reflects the club’s growing global support.”The club are global and have a lot of fans. Getting to the hotel from the airport and seeing so many people welcoming us shows the great support we have out here, and we look forward to playing in front of them.”Semenyo believes City’s high-profile pre-season fixtures will provide the perfect test before the start of the Premier League and UEFA Champions League campaigns.”It prepares the players here for the season ahead. There’s a lot of tough teams in the Premier League, and Champions League and Inter and Atletico are two of those, so we know that playing those at this stage is a good test for us.”The 26-year-old, who has already made 27 appearances for City since joining the club in January, says he is refreshed and eager for the new season.”My body feels good. I like to think I’m well rested. The manager gave me a couple of weeks to relax and reset, so I’m happy to be back with the boys and looking forward to the new season.”
