Controversial Ghanaian marriage counselor, Counselor Lutterodt, has stirred controversy with his comments about men who prioritize family time. During an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo on Onua FM, he criticized Ghanaian men who rush home immediately after work to spend time with their families.
According to Counselor Lutterodt, “any man who rushes home immediately after work to spend time with his family needs attention, because such men have mental problems.” He believes that after work, a man should spend some time outside before heading home.
When asked if it is normal for a man to dedicate ample time to his wife and children, he dismissed the idea, saying, “There’s no sense in such beliefs. There’s nothing called family time, you should stop those useless statements.”
The counselor further asserted that a man’s primary responsibility is to provide for his family, stating, “It is okay and enough for a man to provide food and shelter for his children and wife.”
