On April 30, one of Lagos’ most sought-after gatherings unfolded at the Legends Private Terminal within the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. In a rare transformation of the private jet hangar, Asake hosted an intimate celebration for his fourth studio album M$NEY, bringing together nearly 200 artists, executives and cultural leaders for an immersive listening experience. Young Jonn, Blaqbonez, BNXN, Zlatan, Shoday and more stepped out dressed in elevated white and earth tones defined by subtle opulence.

Known for his limitless creative expression, Asake reimagined the space into a sand-and-stone sanctuary rooted in themes of prosperity in various forms, from wealth, gratitude, spirituality, and serenity. Upon arrival, guests entered through a “Welcome to M$NEY” walkway tunnel adorned with album-inspired visuals.

Highlights from the night:

  • Live instrumentalists performed on raised platforms creating a layered, immersive soundscape throughout the evening.

  • Attendees engaged with bespoke activations, from a perfume-making station, caviar bar, champagne glass engraving, and whiskey-tasting bar.

  • Guests received an exclusive first listen to Asake’s 13-track project, M$NEY.

A central picture wall depicted Asake’s artistic evolution, featuring past projects alongside the M$NEY album artwork, highlighted by a striking marble structure in his likeness created by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar, symbolizing his physical form and cultural impact.

Grounded in Asake’s unique musical perspective and ever-evolving creative spirit, the M$NEY album unfolds as a meditation on gratitude and prosperity backed by distinct melodic production and the rhythmic pulse of Afrobeats.
