Ghanaian and African football great Asamoah Gyan has been appointed as Ambassador for CAF in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Côte d’Ivoire.
Asamoah Gyan will be paired alongside some football legends like Augustine Jay-Jay’ Okocha, Ahmed Hassan, and El Hadji Diouf in this ambassadorial role programme.
The CAF Ambassador programme comes with some responsibility for promoting African football, improving the quality of all CAF tournaments, supporting charity initiatives, and projecting the culture of football in Africa.

The Ambassador programme connecting with legendary players will open an avenue for CAF to engage with fans through the African football greats in order to promote football on the continent to another level.
