New Asante Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler has officially overseen his first pre-season training session, signalling the beginning of a new chapter for the Ghana Premier League giants ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The South African tactician took charge of the squad as preparations gathered pace for the upcoming season, using the opening session to assess his players and introduce his coaching philosophy.
Tinkler’s arrival has generated excitement among the Porcupine Warriors faithful, with expectations high that he can guide the club back to domestic success and strengthen their challenge for major honours.
The pre-season programme is expected to focus on improving fitness, tactical organisation and squad cohesion as Kotoko prepare for a demanding campaign. The former Cape Town City coach will also use the training period to evaluate his squad and identify areas requiring reinforcement before the transfer window closes.
