Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have mutually parted ways with striker Isaac Mintah ahead of the upcoming football season, according to local media reports.The 27-year-old forward joined the Porcupine Warriors in January 2025 following an unsuccessful spell with Libyan side Al Ahli.Mintah had earned the move to Libya after impressing during his time with Aduana FC, where his performances attracted interest from clubs outside Ghana.However, his stint with Al Ahli did not go as planned, prompting the attacker to return to Ghana and subsequently sign for Asante Kotoko.The Porcupine Warriors brought in Mintah with the expectation that he would strengthen their attacking department and provide an additional goalscoring option.However, his time at the Kumasi-based club has now come to an end after both parties agreed to mutually terminate their working relationship.Mintah is consequently expected to become a free agent and will be available to negotiate with other clubs ahead of the new campaign.His departure comes as Asante Kotoko continue to reshape their squad in preparation for the upcoming season, with the club expected to make further adjustments to their playing personnel during the transfer window.Mintah will now turn his attention to finding a new club as he looks to revive his career and begin the next chapter of his football journey.
