U.S.-based Ghanaian vlogger Kevin Taylor has slammed Ashanti Regional residents over the recent fire outbreak and some comments passed in the aftermath by some traders.
Speaking on his show, With All Due Respect, Taylor said the Ashanti Region remains underdeveloped because residents of the region have primitive mindsets.
According to him, the residents refuse to educate themselves, which is why politicians, particularly NPP politicians, are able to take them for granted and they remain loyal to them.
Taylor was speaking after a recent fire outbreak swept the Adum market, leading to the loss of millions of cedis in assets. In the aftermath of the fire, some traders suggested that John Mahama is bad luck and his ascending to office has brought ‘bad luck’ and fire outbreaks.
Taylor said Ashanti Regional residents should wise up because the NDC has brought more developments to the region than the NPP yet they are stuck voting for the latter.
He said this mindset is why they can’t develop and continue to lag far behind Accra in terms of development.
