The result caps off an impressive campaign for AshantiGold 04, who have consistently dominated Division One League Zone II and now sit firmly at the top of the standings.
Formerly known as Bekwai Heroes, the club has enjoyed a remarkable rise, demonstrating both attacking strength and defensive discipline throughout the season. Their early qualification highlights their superiority in the zone and underlines their readiness for elite competition.
Despite their success, there has been widespread confusion among fans regarding their identity. Many have mistaken AshantiGold 04 for the former Premier League side AshantiGold SC, which was relegated in recent seasons.
However, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has clarified that AshantiGold 04 is a completely separate entity from AshantiGold SC, putting to rest any uncertainty surrounding the club’s status.
AshantiGold 04 will now shift focus to finishing the season strongly as they prepare for life in the Premier League.
