Parliamentary Marshals, acting on the directive of Speaker Alban Bagbin, escorted Damongo MP Samuel Abu Jinapor out of the chamber during parliamentary proceedings on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
The action followed his refusal to withdraw an allegation that Ghanaian diplomatic passports were being sold for between US$10,000 and US$50,000.
The incident followed an objection by Majority Leader James Agalga, who challenged the MP to provide evidence to support the allegation.
Speaker Bagbin directed Abu Jinapor to retract the claim and find another opportunity to present it with the appropriate evidence, warning that it would otherwise be expunged from the parliamentary record.
The Speaker subsequently ordered the Parliamentary Marshal to escort him out, prompting the Minority Caucus to stage a walkout in protest.
