As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares for the 2024 elections, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has ramped up his campaign efforts in the Eastern Region, making a notable appearance in Asuogyaman.
During his visit, Dr. Bawumia outlined the advancements in Ghana’s digital infrastructure, emphasizing the integration of the Ghana Card and birth certificate numbers for all newborns.
“If a child is born today, they are issued a Ghana Card and a birth certificate number.
We have completed the pilot phase and will now extend our registration efforts to include children as young as six,” he declared.
Reflecting on his tenure as Vice President, Dr. Bawumia expressed optimism about his potential achievements if elected President.
“All the work I have accomplished has been as Vice President.
I am confident that as President, I can deliver even more,” he stated.
He also reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to enhancing national security and advancing the ‘One District, One Factory’ initiative, underscoring the party’s focus on economic growth and stability.
