Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah, a leading member of the National Democratic Congress, has said that the current Vice-President His Excellency Alhaji Bawumia, is not fit to be Ghana’s Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces and far from being an able and respected President of Ghana globally.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, the former Chairman for the UK/Ireland Chapter of the NDC said ‘’to lead a people, such as Ghanaians, character is crucial and that of the Vice-President is questionable.’’

‘’Alhaji Bawumia has proven to be indecisive, deceitful and not courageous, an individual who addresses the same matter in a different manner depending on his audience is not good of one wanting to be President and here I am paraphrasing the respected President Nelson Mandela who described the likes of Bawumia as individual not fit to lead a people,’’ Ambassador Horace Ankrah added.

Referring to the Vice-President’s current encounter with the press as ‘’very disappointing and not straight forward’’ Ankrah referred to the performance of Dr. Bawumia and his character as ‘’very untruthful individual who will be dangerous as Commander-In-Chief and pose a bad image for a precious country such as Ghana having superintended over lurid activities by the NPP.’’

Ambassador Ankrah went on to say that with a more comprehensive manifesto by the NDC, especially that for the youth addressing ‘’empowerment, inclusivity, education and skills development, innovation and creativity and more importantly, hope and optimism.’’

He is of the view that the youth of this country will choose the NDC over the NPP come December, 2024.

‘’The NDC is the party poised to give the youth of this country the opportunity to be change makers’’ he added.

Ankrah did not mince words when he said a vote for the NPP and Dr. Bawumia will mean voting to protect the agyapadea agenda into firm place as ‘’it is the true manifesto of the NPP and making Vice-President Bawumia a dangerous Commander-In-Chief and a non-caring President.’’

‘’Ghana should avoid that’’ Horace Ankrah concluded.
