Berekum Chelsea have confirmed the departure of highly rated midfielder Vincent Klu Adjei, with the 18-year-old signing a permanent deal with Swiss giants FC Basel.The attacking midfielder leaves the Ghana Premier League side after three seasons with the club. During the 2025/26 campaign, he established himself as a key player, featuring in 28 league matches and accumulating over 1,670 minutes of action.Klu Adjei follows a well-trodden path from Berekum Chelsea to Basel, joining the likes of Jonas Adjetey, Emmanuel Essiam, and Daniel Asiedu in making the switch from the Ghanaian club to the Swiss side.FC Basel have maintained close ties with Berekum Chelsea in recent years, and the young midfielder is expected to begin his European journey with the club’s U21 side, which competes in Switzerland’s Promotion League (third tier), before pushing for a place in the first team.Confirming the transfer on their official social media channels, Berekum Chelsea wished the young midfielder well:The transfer fee has not been disclosed, with Klu Adjei currently valued at around 50,000.
